Our client is an independent, award-winning, design focused creative agency. They work with high-profile, global brands such as George at ASDA, Estee Lauder, Chivas, Corona, Budweiser, Nature Valley, Paco Rabanne, BA Cityflyer and a bunch of others. They’ve been nominated for two Agency of The Year(s) including The Drum DADI Agency of the Year in 2022 and they were also shortlisted as Campaign Independent Agency of the Year and for two years running, made it onto Campaign Magazine’s 100 best places to work. This year they have their sights set on a D&AD and/or Cannes Lion. Oh, but they’ve already won silver at the British Arrow Awards.

There’s about 50 of them (not including the dogs) — but that number grows all the time because they’re still young, ambitious and do great work. They’re also 70% female with a 50/50 gender split on the senior team. They proudly have 100% pay parity, and it annoys them that they even have to mention that as something that’s unique within this industry. WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR 

They’re looking for an ambitious integrated Account Director who has some experience working on retail/shopper campaigns. You’ll be passionate about shopper marketing and ideally have experience working in the alcohol  industry in previous roles. 

You should be a strong voice in the room for all creative and strategic client meetings. Be confident in selling our full agency offering to drive growth of your accounts. You should take the time to understand your portfolio of client’s businesses and be able to hold conversations about all business matters pertaining to the marketing & comms work they do with senior clients. 

 

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL 

They expect you to be your client’s ally and have strong and trusted relationships with senior clients across your entire portfolio. You should be seen as a partner to clients and be sought out and trusted for your opinions across their business. Be a positive collaborator. 

Although you work alongside a Project Manager, you will line manage either a Senior Account Manager or Account Manager, you are ultimately responsible for the faultless delivery of projects. You should be a dynamic leader & motivator for your team and internal departments, leading by example and setting the standard for excellence. 

They want someone who can mentor, appraise and develop their team. The agency has developed a culture of continuous and informal feedback. You will lead a portfolio of clients (or brands) and are responsible for driving the strategic and creative agenda for your clients. You have a knack at building strong and trustful relationships. 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 years minimum in a role similar 
  • Have a good foundation of integrated campaigns 
  • Good initiative and a genuine love for building client relationships and managing campaigns. 
  • Is able to problem solve and bring solutions to the table. 
  • The type of person who likes to create amazing work 
  • A good team player invested in the agency’s growth and new business opportunities
  • Pro-active and committed to developing own knowledge and skills
  • Not afraid to roll up sleeves and muck in
  • Organised and self-disciplined, with an ability to multi-task and consistently hit deadlines
  • Is driven, motivated and has meticulous attention to detail
  • Have a can-do attitude and a bit of the ol’ entrepreneurial spirit
